Adequan is an injectable joint supplement that has shown to be of great benefit for the treatment of osteoarthritis in small animals and horses. It is given via intramuscular injection and should be administered by a veterinarian (especially for companion animals).

In cats, Adequan has also been shown to have therapeutic effects for the treatment of interstitial cystitis (stress-related inflammation of the bladder).
